Dr. Silvia Polidoro is a Biologist; she received her PhD in Human Genetics from the University of Turin (Italy). She is currently working as Senior Researcher at HuGeF Foundation, Molecular and Genetic Epidemiology Unit (Turin - Italy), where she is responsible for molecular biology laboratory work. She has extensive laboratory experience, particularly in the field of genomic analysis. Her main research interest is the development of new biomarkers based on –omics, in particular DNA methylation and miRNAs expression. She is particularly interested in the relationship between diet and epigenetic changes and in the epigenetic marks as consequence of violence experience.
